As we planned our 2008 summer move of our twelve-year technical recruiting business
from the San Francisco Bay area to Las Vegas, we wondered, “how are we going to
seamlessly move our business, including telecom and Internet access, while upgrading to
a VoIP solution, without losing any downtime, or creating more headaches?” Early
meetings and discussions with prospective telecom equipment install providers in the Bay
area and Las Vegas left us uncomfortable with inadequate system features, more

cost of ownership. We were fortunate to meet Ben Gayheart, Vice President of Ascent
Solutions, who, together with his technical team compared multiple VoIP solutions with

communications provider, subsequently performing the installation, configuration,
service testing and hand-off to us, without any lost downtime, in a manner that put all our
early concerns to rest.
